My father started teaching me the fiddle when I was two years old. As I grew older, I took an interest in learning how to play other instruments as well. My father was a swing fiddler so naturally I gravitated towards the music of Bob Wills. I caught the "contest" bug and started competing in Texas Style fiddle contest. During one of those contests I met a fiddling icon named Dick Barrett. Dick started teaching me the intricacies of breakdown fiddling which completely changed my approach to the instrument. As I became an adult, I performed music on the weekends with various local bands I was working with while holding a day job during the week. It wasn't until later in life that I decided I'd like to make music my full-time career and ended up working for Blake Shelton and now Craig Morgan. I'm blessed to do what I love and thank God every day for his grace.
